Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.
We are looking for a Software Engineer passionate about developer productivity, automation and continuous improvement, to accelerate the development of the first humanoid robot that will be manufactured and deployed at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Develop tools and infrastructure to scale continuous software integration and deployment systems.
- Optimize build times, and help scale the execution of automated tests and analysis.
- Integrate new build toolchains and software components to support the next generations of humanoids.
- Improve tooling and processes to integrate third-party repositories.
- Provide developers with an easy-to-set-up development environment aimed at accelerating software development.
- Collaborate with all engineering teams to prioritize feature development, optimizations, and reliability improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 7 years of industry experience.
- Mastery of configuration management using Git.
- Expertise with C++ and Python build and software integration tools (Bazel, CMake, Make, etc.).
- Proficient with scripting languages, including Python and Bash.
- Experience with one or more major cloud providers.
- Comfortable working with a broad range of continuous integration tools (GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.) and deployment tools (Ansible, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker, and microservices architectures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile and test-driven development principles.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Familiar with web development languages and tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScripts…)
- Deep understanding of key and certificate management as well as cryptographic signing and verification.
